Korea has developed more than any other country in the last 50 years. The economy crew rapidly, but many traditions disappeared under the name of old. The place I visited today is 'Naeja Ttangkong(peanut)', a handmade snack store that has an emotion that can be called 'memories', not just the past.

As soon as I enter the store, I feel like I'm on a time travel to the past. I can tell that the atmosphere in the store didn't intentionally create a retro vibe, but it just went on as it used to be. Even if I've never actually experienced the past.

Perhaps the generation of parents born in the 50s and 60s will be able to remind their childhood memories if they come here.

This store is widely known for hand-made baked cookies called senbei(Japanese), or jeonbyeong. It's the same old way, so the taste and the atmosphere must be the same.

The most famous peanut jeonbyeong is 7,000 won per a bag. All Jeonbyeong such as peanut, sea lettuce, ginger, oranda are equal to 7,000 won for a bag. Peanut sea lettuce, I bought two bags.

First, sea lettuce. Koreans enjoy variety of seaweeds such as sea mustard, sea lettuce, kelp, seaweed fulvescens, laver and etc in a unique way. One of the most popular souvenirs for foreigners visiting Korea is dried laver(Gim), Perhaps this sea lettuce jeonbyeong is novel for them. It has sea lettuce tightly stick on it, and whenever you chew it, you can feel the savory snacks and the smell of the sea together.

And this is peanut jeonbyeong, the representative menu. There's quite a lot of peanuts in the half. The texture of crispy snacks and savory taste of the crunchy peanuts are very good. I think it would be nice to enjoy it with Americano coffee because it's a bit sweet.

The 'long-time store' designated by Jongno-gu, Naeja Ttangkong. It's a different store for someone, and a nostalgic store for someone.
