A few years ago, I went to Vietnam. I was surprised by numerous motocycles, by the lively atmosphere, and by the splendor of the night market. It's one of the countries where people start their day by buying breakfast outside, so the market is crowded all day.
Today, I visited 'Annyeong(hello) Vietnam', a famous restaurant that I felt the vitality of Vietnam in Sharosu-gil.
Sharosu-gil refers to the place where an alley with many restaurants near Seoul National University Entrance. The symbolic sculpture of Seoul National University looks like 샤(Sha), and that's why this alley is called like that. It's cute, isn't it?
Passing through the namy restaurants, the yellow entrance is the entrance to Annyeong Vietnam.
In fact, it's not easy for restaurants to be located underground for a number of reasons. But Annyeong Vietnam is a good restaurant that overcome the bad conditions of underground. The 'Mango Plate Popular Restaurant' sticker at the entrance inflates expectations.
On the way down, I can peek inside through a small window. Isn't it like a whole new world? It looks like an outdoor movie set. Wow!
I get the menu and choose what to order. I ordered the representative menu, Bánh xèo and Buncha.
Look at the atmosphere. If there was no ceiling, it's like a night market, isn't it?
The posters and images give a feeling of Vietnam.
Plates, cold tea, and sauce are ready.
Even the atmosphere here is a good restaurant! It's a bit messy, but even it feels like Vietnam.
It doesn't feel like it's a weekday.
The savory scent from Bánh xèo blows my mind.
I can get the same the taste that I tasted in Vietnam. Overall, it is a bit salty for me, but since Vietnam is a hot country, the food is a bit salty, so even it makes taste more like local food.
Bánh xèo is crispy as it should be. Buncha's seasoning is so good and if I deep it in rice noodle's soup or fish sauce, it tastes excellent!
Even the coupon is cute. Trip to Vietnam by eating, it's Annyeong Vietnam.
