Songridan-gil is definitely a hot place in Songpa-gu. Near the beginning of Songridan-gil, there is a sandwich shop called 'New Zealand Story', which has an exotic interior.
Can you see the fresh green door? From the entrance, there is an atmosphere that may be somewhere in foreign country. Even though it's behind a building, the colors and atmosphere are eye-catching.
There's a lot of cute flowers lined up at the entrance.
When I enter, I hear music that feels like a vacation spot. There are a lot of plants inside as there are at the entrance. At first glance, it looks like a small flower garden.
There are pots and plants within reach of almost every table. It's suitable because it's a shop with 'New Zealand' which is famous of its excellent natural scenery.
The main menu here is sandwich. I ordered the signature menu, 'Egg Bongbong' and 'Moroccan Chicken'. All the menus are in Korean and English so convenient for foreigners.
Animal dolls and props representing Australia(and New Zealand) are hidden everywhere.
Also, it is unusual to have portraits everywhere.
Two sandwiches are served in one plate. The plating is pretty cool and exotic, isn't it?
The signature menu, Egg Bongbong is filled with filling between crispy breads. Egg sandwiches are common everywhere. Usually, if it's creamy with mayonnaise, the Egg Bongbong here is specialized by a bite of mustard sauce.
For me, the Moroccan chicken tastes better. Marinated chicken tenderloin with 5 spices is attractive. It's similar to tandoori chicken at a traditional curry restaurant. And rucola(rocket salad), the bitter scent goes well with it.
New Zealand Story is full of exotic atmosphere and comfortable such as a cafe. The sandwich tastes pretty good, so I'll be back at here when I visit Songridan-gil again.
