It is the central government building. It is called “Jegeumdang”, which means the place where gold is made. What a nice name it is! Dongheon was a building where high-ranking officials worked. As we know, Byeonsatto in Chunhyangjeon stayed in this building. Many people got punished, and implored officials to help in Dongheon.
The building looks so dignified. But it is interesting that a signboard is not hung in the middle of the building. Small signboard named “Dongheon” is hung in the middle, and the signboard named “Jegeumdang” and stairs are located on the left side.
