Jeongbalsan Park
The entire mountain is a rest area for local residents, so there are trails toward the top no matter where you start climbing. It is not steep, so children as well as elders can climb the mountain without difficulty. Since this is an everyday trail for Goyang citizens, we suggest you visit this place if you want to meet some local people. There are a total of 8 trails, and you can climb up to the top in 30 minutes from the entrance. The name Jeongbalsan, which is the highest mountain in Ilsan New Town, was given because it is wide like a caldron or a rice bowl. It is not that high, but the forest is so deep that you can easily come across wild animals like pheasants, squirrels, owls and badgers. Since it is located at the heart of Ilsan New Town, it is convenient to travel to surrounding tourist spots. You can also enjoy a beautiful view of Ilsan at the top.
