Daegu Chicken and Beer Festival (대구치맥페스티벌) will take place at Duryu Park located in Dalseo-gu, Daegu. The unique festival is called “Chimaek (Chicken and Beer),” coined from the terms chicken and maekju (beer in Korean). The festival will have as many as 150 chicken and beer booths run by 80 different chicken and beer companies. It will also include a “Beer Drinking Contest.” Each festival participant will receive free beer tickets (valid ID to show proof of age may be required). The festival is free of charge.
