Brased meat at ease, Masizzim Jamsil Saenae branch
서울먹거리
Last Modified : 2020/09/10

Brased dishes are usually served at Korean Table d'hote restaurants or BBQ restaurants. It doesn't feel easy to have. There is a place where you can eat brased meat as easily as jaeyuk(spicy pork). It's a restaurant named 'Masizzim'.

I sneak a peek at the menu outside and enter the restaurant.

It's quite spacious and comfortable. It was quiet because it wasn't mealtime. The atmosphere seems to be good for lunch or a dinner with some drinks.

This is side dish that's served by default. It's more than I expected. The lunch table d'hote includes rice, but it's late for lunch time, so unfortunately, I had to order a single dish.

I ordered the best menu, brased pork ribs, ojingeo buchu jeon(squid and leek pancake), and flying fish roe rice balls.

Rice balls with flying fish roe on it.

A small serving of pork ribs for one person. It's good to have it served with solid fuel on the bottom which keeps it warm all the time.

There's enough pork meat inside. The quality of the meat is not the best, but it's still in the middle quality. But for me, the seasoning isn't deep enough, so it felt like tteokbokki sauce. I think it can be friendly to teens and 20s. It actually has tteokbokki in the dish.

This is squid and leek pancake. It's crisp, not damp. The crispy texture, the chewy squid, and the fragant leek, these together are perfect for makgeolli. Masizzim sells Gongju chestnut rice wine, so if you go out for a drink in the evening, there seems to be no better menu like squid and leek pancake.

If you dip it in soy sauce like this and drink makgeolli with it, you'll be able to repeat it forever.

It's Masizzim, where you can eat and drink at one place.
