Passion5, a dessert theme park
서울먹거리
Last Modified : 2020/06/23

The house made of cookies in the story 'Hansel and Gretel' is a childhood dream. From a brick to a table and furniture are all made of sweets! Introducing 'Passion5', a dessert cafe reminiscent of a house made of cookies.

Passion5 is in a building that is too big to be seen on one picture. It's a premium dessert gallery opened by SPC, the headquarters of Paris Baguette, which has branches in every neighborhood. Paris Baguette, Paris Croissant, Coffee@Works are all SPC brands and Passion5 is the finest bakery among them.

Between the buildings facing each other, there is a massive chandelier which makes this building even more huge and fancy. It's right next to the entrance, so you'll never miss this overwhelming view.

They open very early at 7:30 AM. Perhaps its for people looking for bread for breakfast.

Like a theme park, there are so many desserts to see. The interior is designed with flow of human traffic in mind. Let's take a look as we walk along the line.

Obviously, there are breads, cookies, cakes, chocolates, drinks, ice cream and all the desserts I've eaten before, and there are many things I've never seen before.

Passion5 has 5 sections. The first is a cafe, the second is a bakery, the third is a cakes, the fourth is chocolates, the fifth is... passion! Yes. So four dessert sections and the last one is passion, that's why it's Passion5.

On the second floor, there is brunch cafe Latelier, and the third floor is a pizzeria. The first floor is mostly dessert displays, and there are no many seats, so it's better to take a seat on the second floor on weekends and evenings. The staff asked me if I found a seat already, so I can guess what it would be like when it's crowded.

There are many artistic cakes.

Every kinds of desserts consist of various flavors and shapes.

The problem here is what to choose.

In fact, the most famous dessert of Passion5 is pudding. There are 3 kinds, plain, strawberry, and caramel. I choose plain and strawberry. They are all half full of plain and have strawberry or caramel layer on top of them. It's in a cute glass bottle.

Deep and soft milk with fresh strawberries, It can't be bad.

The plain pudding tastes better than the strawberries for me. The rich taste of milk comes first, then the sweet and bitter syrup completes it.

The drink that goes well with all kinds of desserts is definitely americano. Well, this definitely is a dessert cafe, not a coffee shop. It's a bit bland.

Since it is a fancy dessert cafe with a lot of things to see, it's perfect for a date.
