US air force (USAF) has been stationed at Pyeongtaek since Korean war. As US air force has been stationed for a long time, Pyeongtaek International Joongang Market has special atmosphere. If there is Itaewon in Seoul, there is International Joongang Market in Pyeongtaek. On holidays of soldiers, a lot of events like flea market and art festival are held. And there is special accessory shops and restaurants so they are popular with many tourists. Now, here we go!

I can see the signboard of Pyeongtaek International Joongang Market after parking my car at public parking lot. I can see the rail track at the entrance of the market.

What an amazing scenery it is! It looks like the train track of Gunsan Gyeongam-dong. I don't know whether train is still operated now. But some people say the train is operated when supplies are transferred to U.S. Army. The special market named “Night market hello” is held on the holiday of the US Army. It would be held in spring again.

Some beautiful murals and paintings are drawn around the narrow train track. It is so cute. I like it. A man who looks like U.S. Army took a stroll with his cute puppy. The puppy came to me when I called him “come here~”. Haha. He may understand Korean. :-)

There is a front gate 1 meter far from the trail track. I was so painful when I lived apart from my own family in Busan. I couldn't sleep well because of the sound of freight train. Now I can understand why children play around trail track.

I can see some beautiful accessories at the market. They are not expensive ones, but I want to buy a pretty watch and bracelet.

It is not crowded because it is the daytime on weekday. You may not distinguish whether it is Korea or America. Some American women bring a bottle of soju on their hands. :-)

It is very fun to look around goods in Pyeongtaek International Joongang Market. I like military uniforms for children, distinctive clothes and hats. It is the market of cultural tourism with shopping, foods and arts.

Imported snacks are sold in the alley of the market. In the past, American snack was so popular with many people. Oh, I was scolded by the owner because I didn't get permission. Haha.

Most foods and products are marked with dollar as the business district has been developed for 60 years near the American Army base. You should calculate properly if you want to buy them with Korean won.

Most shops sell Korean foods like Chinese pancake, fish cake and dak gangjeong(Sweet and Sour Chicken). But some foreigners sell foods from Brazil, Peru, Turkey, Mexico, Thiland and Vietnam. I want to smoke hooka and eat Kebob.

Kasaburitto! It is a Mexican restaurant that I visited in Pyeongtaek Mato Art Festival last year. It may be a chain store of it. I will buy one.

This is chicken burritos. It costs $5.5(5,500 won in Korean won). It is quite huge food with much ingredients, so it is good for a meal. Rice, chicken, tomato, fried potato, sour cream and lettuce are put in Tortilla. How could foods made with these ingredients not be tasty?

I am going to eat a hamburger in Miss. Jin hamgurger! As I visited Miss. Lee hamburger and Song's burger, I will head to Miss. Jin today!

Let's see the menu. The menus are simple with hamburger, hotdog and sandwich. We ordered steak burger and chilly hotdog. They cost 3,500 won and 4,000 won respectavley. The prices are the same with Miss. Lee hamburger.

The foods are not splendid like that of franchises. Hamburger is served in silver foil, and hotdog is served in Styrofoam bowl. But it doesn't matter to me. Taste is the most important factor! There are a number of hand-made hamburger restaurants that have similar style.

In fact, I was not so hungry when I visited Miss. Jin hamburger. I planned to eat only one, and bring the other to my house. But I ate away all of them. The hamburger and hotdog were not special, but delicious. Most franchise hamburger restaurants use lettuce, but Miss. Jin uses cabbage and fried eggs. So I can remind of my school days. All hamburgers in Pyeongtaek are delicious.

You should not miss Pyeongtaek International Joongang Market during the trip to Pyeongtaek. It is the perfect date course to take beautiful pictures, look around interesting goods and eat special foods. I strongly recommend it.
