I wanted to see this log stair before I visited here. It is the stair to the warehouse of the second floor, and it is made of logs. It is rough, but elegant. I turned back after looking on the opposite side for a while.

This is the accommodation for temple stay. Temple stay is really good program for busy modern people to take back themselves and take meditation.

Simple, but beautiful flowers are decorated at the entrance of the accommodation on both side. I can feel peaceful and calm.

This little girl looked the flowers on her hunkers. It is certain that she was born to love flowers.

This is Myeongbujeon hall. It has enshrined Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva and the king of the underworld. Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva stands for salvation, and he educates human beings.

More ten year ago, I heard the sound of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva in the bus heading to the crematorium for over two hours. Now I can understand the reason.

You can see Maehwadang after Myeongbujeon hall. Yeongsanjeon hall, which is the oldest building in Magoksa temple, is located on the left side of Maehwadang.

The signboard written by King Sejo is impressive. He is the main hero of a number of historical dramas. He killed a lot of political enemies in order to be a King, and dethroned and exiled his young nephew, King Danjong. Can you feel his powerful handwriting?

There are a number of statues of the Buddha in Yeongsanjeon hall.

But paintings and writings hung on the ceiling attract my attention more. They have been so faded that I can hardly recognize them. But they look wonderful after I imagine their colors.

It is the time to have a lunch. I planned to go to waterwheel restaurant that I saw on the Internet. But I changed my mind after seeing this signboard. It is because of pajeon made of chestnut, the regional product of Gongju.

When you order the table (15,000 won for a person), you would be served with muk, pajeon, deodeok and grilled mushroom.

Jeon has been well done. The texture of sweet chestnut is amazing.

This is one table. Considering the price(30,000 won), it is highly recommendable.
