Gyodongdo Daeryong Market Alley:

Gyodongdo alley is located right in front of Gyodong elementary school. It is very distinctive tourist attraction that preserves the old atmosphere of former generation.

This is a landscape of typical country town. Many old people and old friends would have a chat for a while in the restaurant.

Quite many people are crowded in the alley. I think local government made a great effort by taking advantage of the theme of memory. It seems to be huge success.

Sweet potato and peanut are being sold at reasonable price.

One grandmother is ready to make acorn jello by peeling acorn on the street. She is revolving quadrilateral stone plate for it.

How many people would visit this watch and stamp store? I think the store and the owner have changed into museum. Old common striking clock makes me recollect my memory.

Gyodong tea house is one of the old places in Daeryong market. The owner would take out coarse tea in brown pottery cup. And I would look goldfish in fishbowl while listening teuroteu and drinking black herbal tea.

There is a tin roofed building with beautiful sunflower. It is so curious that I want to watch this building in the morning and night.

Some illustrations have been drawn. Everyone could drink water after pumping it, and mothers washed their children with it. Everyone had to wait their turn.

Mouse was the enemy of all people and the disrupter of production increase when food was insufficient. Catching mouse was as important as catching spy.
